Apex Surveys has invested in the latest Trimble GNSS + Total Station technology. The equipment was supplied by Korec Group Ireland and adds to our existing inventory of Leica Total Station and GNSS systems.

One of the key factors in the purchasing decision was the seamless integration between the GNSS and Total Station technologies. The new system enables surveyors to use GNSS in areas with optimal GNSS coverage and continue using Total Station in areas with poor GNSS coverage without the need to exchange data loggers, create new job files, upload surveyed points and export coordinate systems.

The majority of the equipment will be allocated to topographic surveys with one GNSS unit allocated to the Utility Mapping Division and the Total Stations also used on Measured Building Surveys.

The new equipment is expected to increase productivity, lower costs and ensure quality.
