Data is commonly acquired using a combination of Laser Scanning and Photogrammetry methods.
The Point Cloud produced by Laser Scanning comprises numerous high-accuracy points, which are then combined with geo-rectified photos to create Rectified Imagery, Photo-Realistic BIM Models, Elevation, Floor Plans, Roof Plans, and Section.
Drones can also be used in the survey process to collect data in unsafe or difficult-to-reach places such as roofs or confined spaces. Drone data can be combined with terrestrial data to create an integrated deliverable that prioritises health and safety and ensures completeness.
